- Proofreading .005 per word: Proofreading should be your last step in editing. For the best results, this should be a document that has already been through a self edit and professional edit. Ideally it will have had several sets of eyes on it. I will check for typos, grammar errors, the sporadic tense change as well as consistency in spellings. This level of editing does not address punctuation or numerous instances of tense changes.
- Copy editing .008 per word: With every copy edit, I will carefully review your manuscript to identify and correct errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax and check for consistency in language, formatting, and usage throughout the document. Additionally, I will look to improve the overall clarity and readability of the content by addressing awkward phrasing, ambiguous sentences, or unclear expressions.
